Nestled in the stunning location of Hook in Hampshire lied Tylney Hall Hotel, a mansion house built in the 1700s, though ‘mansion house’ doesn’t seem to do it justice. The bedrooms are grand and sympathetic to the period in which the building was constructed, whilst ensuring they have all the comforts of the 21st century. The standard Deluxe bedrooms are spacious enough at 326sqft, but the superior Duke and Duchess Suite really is impressive at 700sqft. No matter the specification of room, all are fitted with luxurious ensuite facilities including towelling bathrobes and Molton Brown toiletries.
A stay at this incredible hotel wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the stunning Oak Room Restaurant. With views over the gardens, there is arguably no better way to enjoy an afternoon tea. It is also perfect for dressing up and heading down for dinner, or simply visiting with friends and family for Sunday lunch. For a light lunch, dining is available in the Lounge and on the Terrace, perfect for sunny afternoons overlooking the grounds and croquet lawn.
The gardens at Tylney Hall are extensive and well manicured. With a good ratio of of large lawn areas to little private gardens with nooks and crannies for exploring, they make a great walk. If the weather allows, take one of the decadent picnics available from the hotel and talk a walk around the ground to enjoy it.
The garden is also the ideal setting for some stunning wedding photography. As the premises is licenced to host civil partnerships and civil ceremonies, it is the perfect place to hold weddings of any type. There are a number of pre-packaged options available, or the events manager is always at hand to deal with any special requests. Guests will feel thoroughly wined and dined after spending the special day at this unique location.
Tylney Hall is also perfect for a weekend break away. With numerous spa facilities, it is great for couples or a girlie weekend. Comprising five treatment rooms, heated outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a gym, tennis courts, croquet lawn, snooker room and dry saunas, it is perfect for a pamaper package.
The hotel is child friendly, with differing rates and facilities based on children’s age. It also appeals to dog walkers with the extensive gardens and dog friendly rooms available on the ground floor, there really is something for every one at this hotel.
Tylney Hall Hotel is the perfect picturesque retreat, whatever the occasion. With views straight out of a story book, it’s certain not to disappoint.
